Circuit breaker position indicator lamp is a main signal part in high-voltage switchgear. It clearly shows whether the circuit breaker is open or closed in real time, so you can see the status at a glance.
Its working principle is very simple: control by simple mechanical linkage and switch circuit,coordinate with auxiliary contact and LED light source,it can show the working statue.
The main control part is the auxiliary contacts built into the circuit breaker. These contacts are mechanically linked to the circuit breaker's main shaft and operating mechanism. When the breaker finishes closing or opening, the auxiliary contacts switch on or off at the same time.
This position light uses red and green LEDs to tell the status apart: red means the breaker is closed, and green means it's open.
Circuit Breaker Position Indicator Lamp gets its operating power from either the DC or AC control power source of the entire switchgear set. Inside the light fixture, there's a built-in step-down and current-limiting circuit. It brings down the higher control voltage to match the standard working voltage of the LED bulbs, keeping the lights running steadily and safely all the time.
When the circuit breaker shuts closed, its closing auxiliary contacts will connect the circuit for the red indicator light, so the red lamp turns on right away.
